Fall River, MA – June 14, 2009 -- The Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce the winner of the 2009 Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen pageant, held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Keith Middle School in New Bedford.
Brianna Marie Bostick of Taunton, a 16-year old rising junior at Coyle & Cassidy High School was named Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen. She will have the opportunity to compete in the “Miss America’s Outstanding Teen” pageant, to be held in August in Orlando, Florida. As Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen, she will receive a $2,000.00 scholarship and various awards and gifts from pageant sponsors. She was also the recipient of the Talent Award and received a $100.00 Savings Bond.
She is the 16 year old daughter of Maria and Michael Bostick of East Taunton. At Coyle and Cassidy High School in Taunton, she is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society. She has maintained honor roll status consistently since middle school. Brianna also participates in dance and musical theatre, and has held numerous leading roles in school and community theatre productions, as well as being a member of the award-winning Spotlight Dance Studio competition dance team. Brianna performed a dynamic vocal presentation to “Gimme Gimme” from the musical Thoroughly Modern Mille for her talent. The platform issue that she will support this year is entitled “Breast Cancer Awareness & Support Towards a Cure”.
The Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen includes teenagers from ages 13 to 17. Other winners received a savings bond scholarship and trophy. They included:

Also, recipient of the Scholastic Achievement Award and Ad Seller Award.
Second runner-up: Kendall Wipff, 16, Andover.
